Best Way To Change Your Life Starts With This One Thing.

"This isn’t how I pictured my life would turn out" Luisa confided to her friend Marissa over dinner. "I always thought that I would be living in one of those high rises with an ocean view. I can’t even afford to live within 5 miles of the beach." She sighed.
Sound familiar? Many of us have been there. We look around and realize that life hasn’t exactly turned out as planned. All of the big dreams we had when we were younger seemed to have fallen by the wayside. We seem to be stuck. But, with a mortgage to pay, kids in school, and endless bills, there doesn’t seem to be a way out.
But there is.
Change your habits.
Yes, you heard me. Change your habits and you will change your life. You don’t even have to believe in yourself to start.
It’s pretty common these days to hear how you need to think positively. How you need to dream big. How you need to believe it and act it before you even have it. Truth be told, most can’t act it before they have it. They can’t seem to believe the fairytale.
Which is why changing your habits is so important. You don’t have to believe in anything. You are taking action with your habits. When you create new habits, you don’t have to think about it. You just automatically do it.
Let’s say every evening after dinner you plop on the couch and channel surf. You may spend a good hour or two (or maybe even three) just watching tv aimlessly. You could easily do a short activity to better your life situation. Maybe spend a half hour sending out resumes if you are unhappy with your job. Then you can unwind and you have the rest of the evening to yourself.
I hear what you are thinking. How much can you do in a half hour? Plenty! Even if you only sent out one resume a night, at the end of 6 months you would have applied to around 180 jobs. That is huge! You have just dramatically increased the odds of finding a new one. And, it didn’t take a whole lot of effort. You'll notice that before long, it becomes automatic. You’ve replaced your tv habit with one that is so much more productive. You won’t even have to think about it.
Once you have successfully replaced a habit or created a new one, you will find that you can apply this to other areas of your life. Before you know it, you will see monumental change happening. Then you really can start believing it. It may not always be as easy. But, heading to the job you don’t like every day isn’t easy either.
Here’s the thing. Change can’t happen unless you are willing to make it happen. But, it is not as difficult to get started as you think. You need to commit to this one thing. That’s it. Just one habit. Do this at the same time every day. Even if you don’t feel like it. I promise, you will see results.
