1. Permanent Anchor: These anchors are prestressed anchors which are used while the its use is permanent in construction. Permanent anchors generally have the shelf life of at least a 24-month service life.

1. Temporary Anchor: Even these anchors are prestressed anchors, but they are deemed for temporary use. Their use-span iis generally defined as having a service life less than 24 months.

1. Unbonded Anchor: An anchor in which the free stressing length remains permanently unbonded to the surrounding ground or structure is called as unbonded anchor.

1. Upward Sloped Anchor: Any prestressed anchor, inclined greater than 5 degrees above the horizontal is called as Upward Sloped Anchor.

All these different types of anchors are to be used for different purposes & functions. If a wrong anchor is placed at a wrong place, then it can endanger the integrity of the entire structure.
