If there is one thing that completes our home, that would be our kitchen. Agree? But just because you have small kitchen space, it doesn't mean you can't do amazing renovations. Scrap the idea that it is difficult for homeowners to upgrade such since there is no enough space for it. Basically, it is not a matter of how much kitchen space that is available; it is on how good and creative you are when it comes to the design you want to have.

We all deserve to have a kitchen that we can be proud of. And whether you are living in Makati condo or any other properties, it is within your reach. That means, there is no reason for you to have any excuses for not having a kitchen design you deserved. Although choosing the right design is your call, you might want to refer and try these small kitchen layout ideas below.

  1. 1. The gallery

Generally, the gallery layout is commonly known to be a walk-through kitchen. With two opposite countertops where one can freely walk in between them. This layout is ideal when you want to use every square inch of your kitchen space, without worrying about having corner cabinets.

  1. 2. One-wall

The one-wall kitchen layout is ideal for smaller spaces such as studio or loft. It is originally called as the "Pullman Kitchen" because of its space saver feature, where the cabinets and appliances are fixed on a single wall. Moreover, this layout can evolve into a sort of Gallery style where it also has a walk-through corridor.

  1. 3. L-Shape

If you have corner space in your kitchen, then you might want to try L-shape layout. Basically, this design is ideal for small and medium sized kitchen where it maximizes the corner spaces and eliminates traffic. This layout consists of two adjoining walls that form an L shape. You can make the "Legs" of the L longer as long as you want, for as long as you'll keep them less than 12 to 15 feet for you to use the space efficiently.

  1. 4. Horseshoe

Horseshoe or known as U-shape kitchen layout is designed to allow for traffic flow and workflow around the space. This kind of layout has three walls for cabinets or appliances, and it evolved into an L-shaped Kitchen with and island forming the third "wall". With this layout, you can even get more cooks to prepare your food.

5. Island

This is useful when you want to provide an additional working space for your kitchen. The island layout is incredibly functional. It allows you to have enough space for eating (with stools) preparing your food (with sink) and use for storing beverages (with wine cooler). However, you can only have this kind of kitchen layout when you have enough clearance to include this feature.

  1. 6. Peninsula

The peninsula kitchen layout functions much like the island layout. It provides enough spaces for cook works. The island is basically connected with the countertops, where it can also be converted to an L-shaped layout, horseshoe, or turning it into a G-shape design. However, this kind of layout requires more clearance to have more space in the kitchen area.

Tip: When you have small kitchen space, it is advisable if you eliminate the extras. If there are certain things that are not that useful to you, then you might as well consider tossing it away. With that, you will not worry about the spaces or storages you’ll need for it.
