San Diego is often described as America’s finest city, and it’s not hard to see why. Year round the temperature averages in the 70s, so it’s practically summer all year long—they don’t call it sunny San Diego for nothing! There’s so much to see and do in no matter what time of year you’re visiting. Let this guide be your go-to when considering a trip to San Diego!

If you love an adventure, "Daygo" has plenty for you to do and see. With over 75% of the year being a sunny day, you’ll be able to spend most of your time there outdoors. San Diego has over 70 miles of shoreline to surf, swim, and play in, so be sure to pack a swimsuit. From Mission Beach to Pacific Beach, there are so many great choices, but if you want to see the best in the nation be sure to head on over to Coronado Beach. In 2012, Coronado Beach was named the best beach in the nation for its picturesque white sand and clean blue ocean. No matter what beach you choose to go to there are so many ways to enjoy them. Discover the ocean critters of the Pacific by snorkeling in La Jolla or try kayaking in Mission Bay, or bike the miles of bike paths that S.D. beaches have to offer. When it comes to the beaches in San Diego, there’s never a dull way to experience the best in the nation.

No trip here would be complete without a visit to the world famous San Diego Zoo. You’ll find lions, tigers, and panda bears—oh my! The San Diego Zoo houses over 3,000 animals and more than 650 species making it one of the largest in the world. Located at Balboa Park, the zoo is a must-see for tourists everywhere. It’s easy to get lost in the zoo admiring the thousands of animals you’ll witness, but if you do manage to escape, explore all that Balboa Park has to offer. Balboa Park is a Daygo staple that features over 1,000 acres of museums, trails, and restaurants & shops for everyone to enjoy. Not to mention, Balboa Park has many free attractions for you to see, so if you’re on a budget Balboa Park is a must. At night, be sure to hit up Downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp District. If nightlife is your thing, then check out the many great bars and clubs that grace the 16½ acres that is the Gaslamp District. Whatever night you’re in town, you’re bound to find a happening venue to wild out in.
