The Blepharitis is a chronic disease that causes various eye troubles. Its treatment should be done as its symptoms are experienced and its medication should be followed even after the symptoms are eliminated completely.

Another form of this disease is caused by the breakdown in meibomian glands. This gland is responsible to produce lipids that make a layer of a tear film. The fatty layer prevents tear desertion. Thus, this gland gets chocked or blocked and finally fails to secrete lipids. Sometimes, it develops into inflammation and finally giving birth to blepharitis, a medical condition.

Symptoms caused by Blepharitis:

Some symptoms are associated with the disease that are experienced by most of the people. Some of the major symptoms of this chronic disease are as follows:

Red rimmed eyelids

Sore and gritty eyes.

Blood shot eyes.

Sensitive to light

Watery eyes

Greasy eyelid appearance

Abnormal eyelash growth

Treatment:

The best treatment for any eye disease is its prevention. If proper care is done and regular eye wash is done then most of the eye issues will be resolved. However, in case any issue occurs, it is good to visit nearest medicine centre for check-up and seek medical treatment. Depending upon the condition of person, optometrist suggests him treatment. The medication prescribed by the doctors regarding the disease should be used even after the symptoms have improved or have been eliminated completely.
