Air Conditioning is the phenomenon to maintain the temperature of a desired area under favorable conditions. It actually work both ways, when heat is removed from a confined space, thus cooling the air and removing humidity, it is called air conditioner otherwise it is referred as heat pump in which refrigeration cycle can be reversed producing heating in place of cooling in the indoor environment.

In areas with elevated terrain, pressure significantly drops which in turn decreases the amount of oxygen required to live a healthy lifestyle. In such areas, circulation of surplus oxygen is of utmost priority and it could be achieved through installing an air conditioning system which would not only enhance favorable temperature conditions in the space but also will act as an aid to circulate oxygen in the area. There are mainly four types of air conditioning systems listed below:

• Window:

In this an air conditioner is placed in the window which provide a direct circulation of air in the confined space with its cooling.

• Split:

The split air conditioner comprises of two parts, the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. The outdoor unit, fitted outside the room takes charge of compressing and condensing the air while the indoor unit delivers the cooled air through cooling coil and cooling fan. Advantage of split type air conditioning is that you don't have to make a special slot in the wall of the room.

• Packaged Air Conditioning:

It is used when you have to cool two or more rooms with a single system. This type of air conditioning can be used at upland areas to save the workload on installation of different air conditioners of different rooms.

• Central Air Conditioning:

It is used when the whole house is to be air conditioned with a single system. It has different vents for different rooms and it could become a bit costly.
