IIM Indore Postgraduate Programme Started

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore is of the elite MBA institution among all the IIMs. IIM Indore offers various management programmes that include PGP, EPGP, IPM, FPM. The admissions to the IIM Indore is made through the CAT (Common Aptitude Test) exam which is held once every year. The allotment to the IIM Indore among all the IIMs is carried out on the basis of merit formed based on scores of CAT.

Postgraduate Programme (PGP):

IIM Indore has recently started the classes of 2017-19 course of its Postgraduate Programme (PGP). PGP is the two-year full-time residential programme of IIM Indore. This is the 20th batch of PGP at IIM Indore. 99 excellent faculty members teach the PGP programme. The programme also includes the sub-programmes like Industry Interface programme, Himalaya Outbound Programme and Rural Immersion programme as a part of the curriculum. IIM Indore keeps on updating the curriculum to imbibe the best knowledge in the students so that they can develop the managerial skills to become the leaders of the future.

Details of Postgraduate Programme:

Postgraduate Programme of the IIM Indore is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The course is divided into two segments which involve core courses and elective courses. The Postgraduate Program of the IIM Indore aims to orient the students towards achieving the excellence and maintaining the ethical conduct in their profession. There are certain goals that the IIM Indore look out for-

  1. Make the students understand the authenticity and relevance of the context in Business.
  2. Developing in students the ability to think critically.
  3. To develop the ability in students to work in a group and expand the group dynamism.
  4. To develop in students the ability to achieve and excel in performing competitive analysis.
  5. To develop social consciousness among the students.
  6. To imbibe in students the thinking ability.
  7. To prepare business managers with the sound understanding of ethics.

Courses Under PGP-

The curriculum of PGP of IIM Indore is divided into two parts.

  2. Elective Courses

Core Courses- Core Courses are the courses which are compulsory in nature, and the students do not have a choice to skip this. The core courses involve the following subjects in it-

Elective Courses- Elective courses are the courses which give an option to the students to choose among the various subjects available so that the students do an in-depth study of a functional area and specialize in it. The elective courses are offered only in the second year. The elective courses are-

  • Humanities and Social Sciences

Next Batch of IIM Indore:

The next batch of 2018-2020 will start from the next year. The students who are interested in taking admissions to the IIM Indore have to appear for the CAT 2017 exam. The CAT exam will be held in the month of December, and the CAT registrations are expected to start from the month of August.
