Myth 1: Teacher Training is only about teaching the Facts of Yoga

Fact: We all do know that yoga is all about asanas, but yoga is itself a huge concept that integrates various elements including history, philosophy, meditation, mantra, breath work and more. Yoga teacher training gives you an overview of yoga and how it helps you lead a peaceful life. Teacher training offers you clarity and help you focus on what matters to you the most.

Myth 2: You Should Have Practiced Yoga for Years, before Opting for the Course

Fact: Yoga teacher training offers you a space to learn and this is where you start. However, some teacher trainings ask for your experience (6 months to 1 year) because of certain reasons. One, you develop strength, endurance and flexibility. Two, having experiential knowledge will help you better connect with the trainer. And finally, you’ll be more open and receptive. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that those with zero experience cannot go for a course.

Myth 3: Once the Course is Complete, you know it all!

Fact: No way! Yoga is a practice that you learn, learn and learn. The more you learn, the more you excel in it. You keep exploring the ins and outs of yoga as long as you practice it all the time and it’s an idyllic feeling.

If you’ve had the opportunity to practice yoga for a short period of time, you’ll get to know that yoga is more than just striking a pose. Yoga teacher training in Sydney is surely beneficial to anyone who has a passion for it.
