Even though acne is a most common and disturbing skin condition, people with oily skin are more prone to develop acne very quickly. The outbreak of acne is aggressive in the people with oily skin as the sebaceous glands in the skin secrete more oil. Acne treatment for oily skin is quite different from the common treatments for acne. The good thing about oily skin is that oily skin has adequate amount of moisture and it does not call for moistening the skin. Following are some common acne treatment for oily skin.

  • The first step in treating the acne for oily skin is the removal of excessive amount of oil from the skin. It can be achieved by using the oil free soap, changing the food habits, drinking more water etc. The oiliness in the skin can be removed by washing the face several times a day with lukewarm water. Fresh skin is free from the dirt, which unclogs the pores and enables the minute pores in the skin to breath. Eventually, excessive oil is removed.
  • Use a natural cleanser to cleanse the skin cells and tissues and induce the growth of fresh cells. Due to excessive oil from the sebaceous glands, dead cells remain on the skin tissues. Cleansing the skin with natural cleanser like honey helps in removal of dead skin cells, which are replaced with growth of fresh and healthy skin cells.
  • Avoid using aloe vera gel until you remove excessive oil from the skin as being the herb that contain high moisten content. Apply some herbal oil like tea tree oil or lavender oil, to promote the unblemished and radiant skin.
  • Keep your hand away from the skin, as touching the facial skin spreads the acne.
  • Oily skinned people, in order to get rid of acne, should never fall for any modern acne medications like laser treatment; chemical peel, etc. as each treatment wipes out the entire moisten content from the skin and leaves the dry skin. There are some people who plan for taking the oral contraceptives to control the aggravation of the acne, which has the adverse health effects in future.
Acne treatment for oily skin needs improvement in the lifestyle changes rather than focussing on any kind of remedy.
