Justine C. Rutter, from class of 2019 in Duke University, finally won the Spring 2017 Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program.

She said that ‘I am honored to be the recipient of the Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program. This scholarship will support my academic pursuits in the chemical and biological sciences as an undergraduate student at Duke University. My exposure to science began in my classes but flourished during my work in a cancer research lab. As I experienced the thrill of forming new ideas, the challenge of testing those new ideas and the unexpected paths discovery takes you, I felt that no other field could live up to biological research. Ultimately this scholarship award advances my goals to elucidate the remarkable complexities of cancer biology and translate progress from the lab to the clinic.

I am grateful for scientific institutions, such as Creative Biolabs, that are willing to invest in aspiring scientists to achieve their ambitions.
