The 2015 Toyota Camry Expected to Sport a New Design
Posted: Feb 28, 2014
Toyota Camry's have always been defined by their comfort, reliability, and affordability. The Camry was first introduced in 1981 and has built a strong fan base over the years. It is one of the best selling cars of 2013 and offers customers a great deal of quality. As would be expected, to remain competitive, Toyota has periodically changed the Camry's simple, yet charming design.
While the Camry is considered one of the best-selling vehicles in America, some people have been longing for a more exciting design from the vehicle. With cars like the Ford Fusion, Chrysler 200 and Hyundai Sonata all featuring fresh designs, Toyota is looking to stay on top of the competition. With the next update for the Camry expected in 2015, expect Toyota to once again raise the bar on its best-selling mid-size sedan.
The President and CEO of Toyota Akio Toyoda would like the new designs to feature heart racing qualities or "waku-doki" a Japanese phrase. Kazuo Ohara the President and CEO of Toyota Motor Sales in the U.S.A says that when it comes to the 2015 Camry "I would not go so far as saying we could be adventurous, but at least more aggressive."
The 2015 version of the Camry is expected to offer customers a much more memorable design and emotional appeal. According to Kevin Hunter who heads the US design studio for Toyota, they need to improve the Camry's design in the future. The newer model is more sophisticated in design than previous models. Some of the major points of emphasis the 2015 model will focus on will be the exterior of the vehicle and better interior packaging. Toyota hopes that it will make history like previous best selling models of the Camry. Be sure to stay on the lookout as more information becomes available on the new model.
In the meantime, Toyota will offer the 2014.5 Camry Hybrid limited edition which should be available later this month. For people looking for excellent fuel efficiency, this edition will have an estimated 40 mpg city rating.
