Pain is an uncomfortable sensation that cannot be explained in words. The only person who can understand the nature of pain is the one who suffers from it. We all experience this unpleasant feeling at different points in life in non-similar ways. Some of us go through this sensation due to a minor injury whereas some feel it as a result of serious nerve damage.

Pain has many types and all are classified into two major categories: Chronic and Acute pain. Intense pain is considered to be acute and when it lasts longer than 6 to 12 months, it is called chronic pain. When people do not pay attention to minor pain and leave it unattended, they become a victim of chronic pain.

Whatever the nature of pain is, it should be addressed properly. Whether it’s a bearable pain or an intense one, it’s your duty to take it seriously. Nobody wants pain but if you experience it, try these 7 tips to ease it:

1.Take painkillers

Painkillers are truly miraculous tablets that help in easing common types of pain such as a headache and stomach ache. You should keep a stock of painkillers in your house to cure this unwanted sensation that may become unbearable if left untreated. If you’re suffering from other diseases such as diabetes and cancer, ask your physician to prescribe you suitable painkillers considering your medical condition.

2.Avoid tough activities

There is a possibility that the back pain, you have just started to feel, is the result of weight lifting you do in the gym. In our everyday routine, we get indulged in various tough tasks that might trigger pain. Therefore, to reduce pain, you should avoid activities that require extreme physical strength. Avoid tough activities in pain else your condition might get serious.

3.Do exercise regularly

Although tough activities are not good in pain conditions, light exercises can help you reduce the pain. Activities like stretching, bending, and jogging bring flexibility and improve body functions. A proper movement cures pain and strengthens bones and muscles.

4.Give yourself a break

Bring some change in your restless routine to overcome pain conditions. Take a day or two off from office and spend some time by the beachside to relax. Taking a break will freshen up your mind and body and reduce the pain sensation.

5.Take sufficient rest

Forget about everything and take rest to treat your pain condition! Resting will automatically reduce the pain.

6.Adopt healthy eating habits

Healthy eating habits also play an important role in reducing pain especially when it’s a stomach ache. Avoid things that are unhygienic or not suitable for your sensitive stomach.

If the pain is not reduced even after following all these tips, you must visit pain doctors. They will examine your condition and locate the pain to treat it properly.
