The competitiveness in the job and career field is on the rise every day and individuals looking for work in the various fields need all the assistance they can get, particularly in these tough economic times. But there are people who are paid or employed to look for the job seekers that are looking for jobs. There are two main types of these assistance job seekers who make it their job to find prospective job seekers. The first is called head hunters while the other is called hiring agencies. Although they seem similar there are some differences between them and we will be look at this in this article. We will look to define the both of them individually but also talk about their differences.

Head Hunters Toronto: they are not like hiring agencies that simply use numbers to fill positions rather they are usually specialists who work very closely with both the job seekers and the employer to find exactly the right match that is needed by the company. They are often paid only when they have found the perfect person for the job the company seeks. What this implies for a prospective job seeker is that you are much more likely to be placed in the position you desire by working with experienced head hunters in your field.

Head hunters are used mostly by companies when they are looking for more specialized positions such as that of a general manager. But their focus lies in helping their client to find potential job seekers that the client they could not find despite all their efforts: advertising online and in the print media. They have a tendency to be less interested in the needs of the job seeker and so their search is usually based on limited criteria such as basic job experience, limited skill sets, and some or no qualifications. They follow the same procedures as the hiring agencies do by compiling a list of prospective job seekers, conducting interviews with them in order to screen out some of them before then forwarding the ones with the best resumes to their clients. However, there is a huge risk that the people being sent to clients are not totally suited for the positions they are needed for.

Hiring agencies Toronto: unlike the head hunters in Toronto who work for the employers, they work for the employees or job seekers and do not focus on any specific companies. They are not looking for highly skilled or experienced individuals to fit just one or two immediate positions like head hunters are. Hiring agencies work slower and are usually paid substantially less in terms of their placement fees than the head hunters. Hiring agency in Toronto read CVs and resumes of the job seekers and they look to try as best as they can to match up any qualified job seekers with any general openings at employers who have put out listings with them. Also, hiring agencies will search through resumes continuously and try to match them up with the employer’s listings, but it is usually quite generalized and not as specific as it is with the head hunters.
