It is an upsetting and discomforting skin ailment that may make a person completely disturbed. The constant itching, irritation, inflammation and burning sensation on the skin makes you feel embarrassed in front of others. It is because you have to scratch your skin to soothe down that itching and irritation.
What makes the condition worse is the fact psoriasis is not curable completely. It can just be controlled. You may get relieved of the symptoms by using some medicines or other treatment options. It implies psoriasis is also an incurable skin disease. Although ayurvedic treatment of psoriasis is a very good approach towards management of this skin issue however it also has some limits.
The thick and silvery white patches on the skin may appear anywhere on the body. These may even keep on spreading from one part of the body to the other. But it should be kept in mind that psoriasis is not at all contagious. It means this skin disease doesn’t get spread from one person to the other through contact. There are certain specific reasons or causative factors behind occurrence of psoriasis. Hence you may rest be assured that you don’t get it from a person who is already suffering from this skin condition. It is chiefly linked to the low body immunity or malfunctioning of the immune system.
In some severe cases, the joints of the patient are also attacked by a disorder called as arthritis. It is then referred to as "psoriatic arthritis". The symptoms of psoriasis may keep on appearing and disappearing.
