Billionaire Peter Lim (Rowsley Group) with 70 per cent and jointly held by the Johor royal family with 30 per cent together formed the developer Blest Blend, a Malaysian joint venture company & RSP Architect! Located in close proximity to CIQ Johor Bahru, its location is strategic and have Singaporean investors in mind.

Vantage Bay will be massive RM5.5 billion integrated project. The project will occupy 11ha of land overall. Some 9.23 hectare (almost 1 million square feet) of land, which is equivalent to 13 soccer fields for non-medical uses like apartments, malls, convention centres and offices.

Construction is expected to start by the end of Year 2014. The entire development could take 5 to 10 years to complete in various phases.

Once completed, Vantage Bay will be an integrated development that consists of a medical hub, residential apartments, a mega shopping and entertainment mall, commercial offices and a hotel. It is 3 minutes away from the Woodlands - Johor Bahru causeway and the customs building CIQ, and the upcoming RTS (Rapid Transport System) that connects directly to the Singapore Woodlands MRT Interchange.

A part of Vantage Bay is a pair of twin towers that are set to become two of the tallest residential apartments in malaysia, wowing residents with superb views of the Strait of Johor and Singapore Island skyline. The size of the integrated retail and entertainment mall will be comparable to VivioCity, Singapore's largest retail and lifestyle mall with a net lettable area of one million square feet. A hotel and office blocks will also be connected to the mall, giving synergy to the vibrant commercial activities that are soon to come.

Be prepared to be wowed by the iconic design of Vantage Bay. RSP Architects Planners & Engineers, Singapore 's leading and oldest architect firm was appointed as the designer. RSP was recently given the task of "Jewel project" an undertaking to further enhance Changi Airport (ranked number one in the world), giving it an even more representative look.

The medical facilities will be run by Thomson Medical Centre, which Mr Lim privatised early last year. They will sit on 2 ha of land and will include a general hospital and centres providing services in areas such as fertility, diabetes, urology and cardiology. The development will cater to locals as well as medical tourists. It is not just a place for the sick, for people who want to have a health check or see a specialist. At the same time, they can have shopping and food and all that.

The Vantage Bay Development is expected to create 10,000 jobs in Malaysia over the long run. About 25,000 people will be able to live there once it is completed.
