Back in the day, shopping used to be one of the most amusing and exciting things to do for everyone. But now, because of the millions of brands, designs and styles available in the market to choose from shopping has become kind of stressful. One of the main reasons for this increase in options is of course due to more creative and talented designers. Another reason is technology which allows people to see every new and latest design immediately at their fingertips.

Year after year, we are all faced with the dilemma of choosing clothing from a gazillion brands, styles and designs. Earlier on, I really used to find shopping to be one of the best things that has ever happened to human kind. Every time we went shopping it was like going to Disneyland for the first time. As this was the case for everyone back then, there were many brands to choose from and we could very well choose one or a few from them. But that was it.

Simply put, "a few" could be chosen from the many because they were all distinct in design and it was easy to narrow down to the ones that best served our needs, because the others simply didn’t.

Thanks to technology, all the latest trends in fashion are being disseminated, communicated and trickled down to even the last link in the fashion hierarchy. And thanks to the increasing number of creative minds in the fashion world, in the form of designers, marketers, tailors and what not, all the latest designs and styles are being recreated in cheaper more reachable versions too.

Put together with the actual high fashion branded clothing that is already available in the market, you can imagine how big the industry actually is.

Now you tell me, if it’s not a task finding the right brand!

Since we all know how difficult that is, let’s go through some insights that might help ease our decision.

A Balmain jacket can be recreated using the exact same material, machines and accessories at a lesser price, with no compromise on the durability and performance. The same goes for most other high fashion branded clothing as well.

For all these reasons, I would say that it would actually be more feasible and sensible for everyone to purchase designer quality clothing from affordable streetwear brands like Drjays and Karmaloop, instead of the high fashion brands.

If you weigh the pros and cons of both, it would make sense to you.

Think about it. With high fashion clothing brands you get a pretty good quality and durable item of clothing for probably an equally high price. Apart from that, high fashion brands often change their size measurements. Meaning, the size that fit you today might not fit you about 3 years later or for another garment.
