Getting Your Spring Wedding Theme Right

You’ve had the dream proposal from your ideal partner! The stress is all downhill from here, right? Well, no. Now is the time to organise yourself and begin making plans for your big day so that everything, from your choice of bespoke wedding dresses to the flowers in your hair, is accounted for. If you're well prepared you won't risk feeling hectic and pressured as the day draws near; after all, this is a joyous occasion celebrating one of the biggest days in your life – it should be fun!

If you've decided to have your event in the spring, it is an excellent idea to have an overarching theme that will then, naturally, influence the bespoke wedding dresses and the other elements of colour and style. This will give the occasion coherence and will also make planning a bit easier.

It’s all about the colour

One of the major things that come to mind when you think of the advent of spring (aside from a spring cleaning!) is the change of colours in nature and the blooming of flowers. So, why not incorporate this into your theme? While you might not want to go for bespoke wedding dresses that actually mimic the shades of spring, you can certainly choose your accent colours this way. Consider creating your bridesmaids' gowns in the colours of greens, pinks or yellows of the season. To make this even more thematic, choose your bouquet using the flowers that are in season in the spring – this will also ensure they are as fresh and vibrant as possible.

Be organic

Another major theme that evolves in the springtime is the use of organic materials that root you to the earth and impact the environment as little as possible. This doesn’t mean that your bespoke wedding dresses need to be made entirely of organically grown hemp, but why not use hemp as table accents, or to wrap around the flowers at the reception area? If you do want to go organic with your dress, choose vintage style cotton one or one made from raw materials. This theme also lends itself very well to an outdoor event, especially if the weather is warm but not overly hot. One thing you should keep in mind, however, when going with this sort of theme, is certainly make as many of your accents as organic as possible, but don’t stress about going overboard - your day is supposed to be easy-peasy, after all.

Wildlife

Though you may not be able to train a real live Bambi to gambol down the aisle to deliver your wedding bands in a perfectly wrapped package, you could still consider incorporating certain elements of wildlife into your big day. From having hand embroidered wildlife accents to enhance your choice of bespoke wedding dresses, to a nest of lovebirds on the tables at your reception, it is these little elements that make an event truly unforgettable. Why not decorate the reception venue with branches and make use of the ever-cute lovebirds motif? Anyway you use it, Nature will surely add a touch of class and uniqueness to your event.
