One of the most popular and time saving inventions has to be the dishwasher. A popular invention that benefits many homeowners. Plus it’s definitely a time saver in which gives you more time to tackle other task around the house. However, like anything else the dishwasher gets plenty of use and may require some maintenance at some time.

In this article we will go over some steps that you can take to help you fix your dishwasher if it won’t clean properly.

Clogged dishwasher spray arms is a major problem for many. By cleaning the clogged jets in your dishwasher it will help open up the blocked passageways and remove mineral deposits so water flow can flow through the jets once again. A small piece of wire can be used to clean out the holes. In addition, you may want to soak the spray arms with warm water and vinegar.

Second issue could be that the pressure from the spray arms may be low. If this is the case, it just may be the discharge housing gasket. When this happens it could be that the gasket could have came loose. If so you can easily fitted back in or just simply replace it with a new one.

Lastly, another common issue that seems to fail is the water inlet valve. The main duty of the inlet valve is to control the flow of water that goes into your dishwasher. If you notice that it will not fill or it keeps filling constantly then it just may be time to replace it.

If your not sure if the water inlet valve is the issue, then you may want to contact an appliance repair company to come out and troubleshoot your dishwasher. Once you are able to contact a dishwasher repair company near you it is best that you explain throughly what issues you are having with your dishwasher.

These are simple home fixes that you can attempt to fix if your dishwasher is not cleaning properly. However, if you feel unsure about how to handle these DIY projects then calling a professional to come out and troubleshoot your dishwasher just maybe the wise choice.
