When it comes to lifestyle, we almost always turn to our celebrities for example. In the choice of homes and design, in particular, showbiz personalities provide us endless inspiration, which combine both their style, as well as the insights of their A-list design teams. If you are decorating your Hawaii oceanfront homes, make sure you take notes from the examples they set:

Glamour. Celebrity homes are closely followed because these people – top singers, actors, and reality TV stars – supposedly are living the life of our dreams. We expect their homes to be the embodiment of glamour, and most of the time, they do not disappoint. Take for example one of the most notorious world-famous couples, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Their penthouse in New York offers a scenic view of the Hudson River, from an expansive living room that has been appointed with multiple seating, and decorated with an elegant neutrals palette dominated by grey.

In the dining room, a glass chandelier hangs low on a black dining table paired with two large, fur-upholstered chair, and smaller, sleek-looking leather chairs. On top of the table are eye-catching silver centerpieces, and the flooring consists of slabs of dark, solid wood. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, with white sheets and grey, fringed bedcover, and large, paneled floor-to-ceiling windows. They have a large, walk-in closet, as well as their own gym. And of course, their bathroom looks like a spa, with a freestanding oval bath tub, grey marble tile flooring, white walls, and an elegant double sink and vanity.

Imagination. In the eat-in kitchen of Johnny Depp’s home in Los Angeles, we see his imagination running wild. The table has a mosaic pattern, and above it is a futuristic-looking chandelier. All around the room are framed graphic artworks. On one wall, a mural features caricatures of children perched atop bony, crawling branches, alongside balloons with faces. The office, on the other hand, almost looks like a scene from any of his eccentric movies – large orange tafetta drapes hang from the ceiling, a drawing table is paired with a deep purple cushioned dressing stool, and a slightly worn patterned rug sits on the floor. The result are spaces with character which are as fascinating as they are inspiring.

Hosting features. Rihanna, the gifted pop star who is also known for being a quintessential party girl, has some of the best spaces for hosting in her LA mansion. The large, open-concept living room has pin lights all over the ceiling, for a muted, more intimate feel. The palette features beiges and browns, but we see Rihanna’s trademark edge: throw pillows, area rugs, vases, and paintings all have a pop of tangerine, infusing life into the space. Outside, there is a putting green set against the hill, an outdoor patio lined with wicker chairs, and of course, a large swimming pool with jets, and chaise lounge and sofa seats all around.
