The Internet broadband market is competitive, and with so many new deals and offers available it can be difficult to find a provider that suits your needs. In the United Kingdom, Vodafone are currently one of the cheapest broadband providers on the market. So if budget is a defining factor of your decision, the following information may help you.

Vodafone Has Scapped Their Rental Charges

Last year Vodafone scrapped their broadband line rental charges of £18 a month and started offering an all-in-one fibre optic package. Customers still get a landline connection and phone number, with prices starting at only £22 a month for existing customers and £25 a month for new customers. This is good news for Internet users who don’t need the use of a landline. In today's increasingly mobile world, this is set to become a trend in the marketplace.

Vodafone's Fibre Packages Rank Highly Against Competitors

If you compare Vodafone’s fibre optic package with those offered by competitors, Vodafone performs very strongly indeed. Currently broadband from Vodafone is cheaper than both Sky and TalkTalk, while also coming in at a whopping £10 a month cheaper than BT.

Some customers may be concerned by Vodafone’s slightly longer contract length of 18 months, but the amount you save is more than worth the extra 6 months and it is unlikely BT’s rates will get much cheaper within the foreseeable future. Vodafone are also offering to pay £100 towards cancellation rates for new Vodafone customers who wish to break alliances with their current provider and switch.

Speed Times Still Make the Grade

With prices this cheap many people may be worried about the speed times of Vodafone’s broadband services, but they needn’t be concerned. Vodafone have the same Fibre/FTTC broadband footprint as BT; therefore, the speeds are practically identical.

The network currently claim that its fibre offering can reach 24 million premises in the UK. By comparison, BT says its network reaches 25 million homes, so unless you live somewhere remote it is unlikely to make much of a difference.

Vodafone Now Provide Incentives

As an extra incentive Vodafone are even offering home broadband customers a free gift worth up to £199! Customers are able to choose from a Sonos PLAY:1 wireless speaker worth £199, a Fitbit Charge 2 worth £139.99, Sennheiser HD Headphones worth £169.99 or a Tom Tom Bandit Action Camera worth £129.99, or a prepaid card worth £75. Furthermore existing Vodafone broadband customers can also get money off monthly mobile or sim only contracts.

So the short answer is "yes, you can save money if you switch to Vodafone!"
