India is a country of varied temperate zones and climates. We get a bit of everything the planet and to offer. While summers dominate for parts of the country most part of the year for example in central plains of the country, some regions in the north east regions of the country remain snow clad for most of the year. There’s frosting, heat strokes, drought and floods. And everything in between. One of the most prevalent weather situation in the country is the monsoon. It brings rain and rain brings so many things with it, like hot delicious pakoras! When it’s raining in certain parts of the country, not in others, the season of monsoon is for everybody to enjoy. As there will always be some drizzling. Not too many people know how to stay dry and stylish during the monsoon season. There are some must haves to add to your wardrobe which will always keep you rain-ready and in style.

Sophie Donaldson from The independent suggests to her readers that if there is just one thing that you have to buy this monsoon season, then it has to be a holographic wind-breaker jacket. It keeps you dry and looks great on a rainy day. What more? It can be thrashed and squeezed and crumpled into bags and out of bags, and that is actually going to be good for it, as it looks good with creases and crinkles. And if its mud and dirt water you are worried about, don’t fret, it can be cleaned with just some wipes to wipe it off, and it’s squeaky clean. What a life saver, you guys.

Now let me tell you about the 5 Myntra Must-haves this rainy season.

1. Culottes

These slightly shorter pants are one of the best things that have happened to monsoon fashion. Not too many people are fond of denim capris and everyone knows denim takes ages to dry. Culottes give the comfort of palazzos and a number of options to choose from – plain, striped, printed, take your pick.

2. Gum boots

When you have to stay away from stilettoes, leather shoes and pumps, it doesn’t mean you have to wear flip flops. In fact flip flops make sure mud reaches as high as your waist. Gum boots are something that are stylish and do exactly what is needed – keep you dry and chic.

3. Midi and mini skirts

This one is a no-brainer. Long skirts do not help much when the roads are mucky with all the downpour. When you use an umbrella, midi and miniskirts make perfect sense as they are least likely to get wet.

4. Shirt Dresses

Shirt dresses give a minimal feel. As compared to flowy or frilled dresses that may look messy and even untidy during monsoon, shirt dresses stay the way they are even when they get slightly wet. One of the best trends of the recent times, shirt dresses are perfect for monsoon.

5. Colorful Umbrella

Besides the clothes and shoes, a colourful umbrella goes a long way in making an outfit stand out. While the good old black umbrella is not outdated, a colorful one makes sure you put your best foot forward during rains.
