The DSLR’s that are made by Nikon are hugely popular and there are plenty to choose from. Able to take photographs in all conditions, many people across the world own a Nikon DSLR on account of its strong reputation. When wanting to achieve a perfect shoot, take a look at the lenses that will be used.

Are lenses clean?

One of the most important tools in any photographer’s armoury, the lenses that they own should be very clean. If a lens has many smudges or other marks, every photograph will have an error. It is very easy to clean a lens because a cloth is all that’s required. By wiping all lenses before taking photographs, this won’t have to be done during a shoot. If necessary, use water to clean lenses but this isn’t always needed.

What are the light conditions like?

If a shoot will be held at night, attachable lights should be taken. When held during the day, an attachable light isn’t necessarily required. This is because the right setting can be selected on a DSLR in order to take one great photo after another. When choosing a setting, check that the relevant one is picked. If photographs are shot in cloudy conditions, high ISO has to be selected but the opposite applies in bright sunlight because low ISO is chosen instead.

Have enough lenses

When many photographs will be shot, an adequate number of lenses must be in a camera bag. If not, a photographer will be limited to what they can use. So that a photographer has the relevant lenses, a bag must be packed in advance. Therefore, the lenses that they want won’t be left behind.

Bring along many memory cards

Although a memory card that has many gigabytes of memory can be used for a Nikon DSLR, several of them can be taken on a shoot. When hundreds of photos are shot, they can be saved onto multiple memory cards. By having a handful of memory cards, a photographer won’t be limited to the number of images that can be saved.

Consider shutter speed

When the wrong shutter speed is chosen, it will be very difficult to take excellent photos during a shoot. By experimenting with and choosing the right shutter speed beforehand, a shoot will go according to plan and there won’t be any delays.

Make a model feel at ease

When taking photographs in a studio, a model should feel at ease. By talking to them throughout, they will be more comfortable with their surroundings. Although they can be told what to do, photos of a model posing naturally will look far better.
