Rama Navami:

Rama Navami is a Hindu festival that is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Rama. It is celebrated on the ninth day of the Chaitra month in the Hindu calendar. Lord Rama is the seventh human incarnation Of Lord Vishnu. Lord Rama was an ideal and perfect man both physically and mentally. Lord Vishnu took this Rama incarnation to destroy demon King Ravana. Rama Navami festival is celebrated in different ways in different states. In some places Rama Navami is celebrated in 10 days. This festival also known as Dussehra.

History Of Lord Rama:

According to the great epic Ramayana, Once upon a time king dasharadhar ruled Ayodhya. King dasharadha has three wives named as Kaushalya, Sumithra and Kaikeyi. They don’t have a child even after many years of marriage. The King was very worried. At that time, Rishi vasistha suggests king Dasharathar to perform puthra Kamesti Yagna to get a desired Child. After that King Dasharathar do that yagna. As a result he was blessed with 4 child. Lord Rama was born in ayodhya. This day is celebrated as Rama Navami Festival. Lord Rama is the eldest son of King Dasharadhar and Kaushalya. Bharadhan, Lakshmanan and shatrughanan are the brothers of Lord Rama. Bharadhan is the son of King Dasharadhar and Kaikeyi. Lakshmanan and shatrughanan are the sons of King Dasharadhar and Sumithra. Sage Vashishta is the master of Lord Rama and his siblings. They learn all the war activities with great skill. Later Lord Rama married Goddess sita. She is a daughter of King Janaka. At the same time lakshman married sita’s younger sister urmila, Bharadhan married Mandavi and shatrughanan married shrutakirti. They lived in ayodhya very happily but their happy life at the castle did not last long. Lord Rama had go to forest for 14 years because of his father gave promises to his step mother Kaikeyi. Mother Sita and Lakshmanan leaves with Lord Rama. They lived in forest. During his stay in the forest, a demon king Ravana kidnap Mother sita in the absence of Lord Rama and Lakshmanan. Mother sita was imprisoned in the ashoka forest by Ravanan. Lord Rama and lakshman searching Mother sita in many years. Finally they found the ashoka forest by the help of Hanuman(A great devotee of Lord Rama). After a big battle, Lord Rama destroyed a demon king Ravana and other demons. Finally Lord Rama rescued Mother sita and brings her to Ayodhya.

He also gives success in all endeavours. Many devotees observe fasting and offer prayers to Lord Rama on the day of Rama Navami to get the blessings from Lord Rama.
