UAE’s History

The UAE’s has a very rich history in trade and is tied to Islam, which came to the region in AD 630. Merchants from India and China were attracted by its location between Europe and the Far East.

In the early 1930s a geological survey was conducted in UAE by the first oil company. And later the first cargo of crude oil was exported from Abu Dhabi in 1962. And in 1966 HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was chosen as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi. Economy was progressing steadily. And the construction of schools, housing, hospital and roads was going on throughout Abu Dhabi.
