The NMAT candidates are required to refer to these 8 tips mentioned as follows for ensuring good preparation for the MBA Entrance examination.

  1. The Candidate should invest a lot of time in practice. The candidate must create a strategy to practice things on time, devoting time for the same and ensuring timely revision.
  2. The candidates must make their weak areas strong by identifying them in advance and investing enough time in doing well. The following are mentioned few steps that a candidate can follow:

a) The candidate should practice and understand solved examples.

b) Unsolved exercises must also be practiced.

c) Mock tests should be practiced.

d) Last year NMAT by GMAC papers must be practiced to get used to the exam simulation.

e) About 20 questions in every topic must be ensured to be practiced by the candidate.

  1. Revision should stay on the mind of the candidates wherein the more they are clear about basic concepts, they can attempt papers well.
  2. Confidence in a particular topic must ensure students practicing on formulae and mock tests relating to the particular topic in specific.
  3. 120 questions need to be attempted in about 120 minutes in the NMAT by GMAC. A candidate would have just a minute for every question which would require a balance of accuracy and speed.
  4. Alternate the subjects that you study across for better time management. For example, if you are practicing Quant since a few days, you can take a break in between by studying the Language section in between and then getting back with a mood to practice.
  5. Getting stuck on a particular topic sometimes would give an impression that the further topic study are getting postponed which would make the topic lose track of his revision and study schedule which can be easily avoided by the candidates.
  6. The entire month of September can be devoted towards basics. Towards the September end, candidates can devote time towards practice of mock tests and previous year question papers as they would boost the confidence of the students.

Above all a candidate is expected to devote his entire time with confidence in the plan that he has made. The candidate should not waste his time on random things to ensure whatever hard work he puts in and invests helps him reach wherever he wants to.

Nmat by GMAC, is an entrance examination for MBA that is flexible for students to study and give the examination with its extra long examination window and the opportunity given to the candidate wherein he can give a total of 3 attempts before applying to various colleges.
