Australian creative director, actor, singer, producer and designer, Jarrod Carland has had an exciting and inspiring career. He has always been passionate about arts and has been involved in entertainment industry working in various stage shows, produced various events from festivals to musical theatre productions and large scale concerts and events. He has worked in various cities across the world, Sydney, London and New York being the major ones where he worked on various shows and events.

Jarrod Carland graduated in 2000 with Bachelors of Arts in Musical Theatre from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Edith Cowen University in Perth, Western Australia. He moved to London to pursue his career in theatre and worked in a number of roles. He is best known for musical theatre roles such as Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, Munkustrap in Cats, Danny Zuko in Grease, Vicomte de Changy. Prior to this he also performed a role of Steve Baker in Show Boat at London Royal Prince Albert Hall. He has performed in over 20 productions with the Victoria State Opera and Opera Australia.

While working with Australia’s top theatre companies, he appeared in The Fat Boy, The Protagonist and as Aramis in The Three Musketeers. He played the role of Frank Manero Jnr in the Australian Premiere of Saturday Night Fever. Other musical theatre credits include Falsettos, Into the Woods, Magdalena, Ruddigore and Hello Dolly. He also toured throughout Australia with his group Back to Bacharach, featuring the music of Burt Bacharach.

Jarrod later moved to New York, where he worked under Laura Green in Broadway Productions in General Management. He worked on various high profile productions and the best ones were Producers and Hairspray. The most notable productions among all is The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankenstein which opened on Broadway at Hilton Theatre on 8th November, 2007, Jarrod worked as an assistant to Mel Brooks.

In 2008, Carland returned back to his home country Australia and started working as an assistant producer with Andrea Bocelli in Concert touring all over Australia and New Zealand. He also worked for Avenue Q Australia from 2008 to 2010 and also performed in various theatre shows. While he was working for Avenue Q Australia, he laid the foundation of Studio Jack, a boutique design agency, based in St. Kilda, West Victoria. Since inception, the studio is running successfully and works with some of the leading brands of Australia.
