Why changing mobile phones regularly is meaningless?
Posted: Oct 25, 2017
2017 is a rather strange year for the mobile phone industry. The high range of this generation hardly brings new interesting concerning the previous one. Meanwhile, more and more manufacturers decide to follow the trend of launching smartphones belonging to the so-called premium media range, at competitive prices. For its part, the low range continues to be there for those who are first launched to purchase a smartphone, with very reduced costs, but features that were stuck in the past.
Some users change their dual sim smartphones quite often. After all, new models are constantly appearing. They are more powerful and functional, and also have a more attractive design. More recently, new models differed from the previous ones in principle. But today the situation has changed, and improvements have a "cosmetic" character. Of course, each user himself determines for himself whether he needs a fresh model of the new season each time. But with arguments in favor of not changing phones often, you should still get acquainted. After all, it happens that the user, changing the phone, hopes to gain new impressions and then regrets the transition.
Beyond more beautiful designs and bigger screens in smaller bodies, the current generation of smartphones offers nothing new that we cannot enjoy in terminals of the previous period. And, perhaps, the time has come to a stop changing phones every year.
Change of mobile every little time, a practice that has stopped making sense.
Until very a few years ago, the innovations introduced with each new generation of smartphones were more than remarkable. Better cameras, fast charging systems, fingerprint readers. Even today, many of these features are not exclusive to the higher ranges, but in the terminals with a reasonable price/quality ratio, we already find many of these details.
However, we have now reached a point where the improvements introduced from one year to the next are minimal, and most "innovations" are reduced to larger screens on smaller bodies or processors slightly more potent than the previous ones. And this is no problem. Rather the opposite. The telephony sector has reached a level of maturity in which it is challenging to continue innovating, and users can buy new dual sim smartphones without fear that, within a year or a year and a half, this will be obsolete regarding specifications or characteristics.
To sum up, and still existing a lot of differences between both sectors, the telephony sector, today, increasingly resembles that of personal computers. Do not you change your computer every year? So why not start doing the same with the mobile?
