There’s no getting away from the fact that IJOY, Vaporesso Vape have been making waves in the vaping industry over the past 18 months or so, chiefly via their successful "Tornado" and "Limitless" ranges.

Their latest offering, the Captain Sub Ohm Tank has been created to specifically pair off with the Captain PD270.

This tank is a 2.5cm atomiser (width) with a 2ml TDP compliant capacity; it has a quick release cap to enable quick fill ups and a unique coil system which offers superior heating and flavour.

Quality Notes

Made from stainless steel and glass; the IJOY Captain Sub Ohm is available in four different high quality finishes; rainbow, stainless steel, black and gunmetal grey.

The coil heads are easily cleaned and changed due to the absence of threading; the process is refreshingly simple and easy to execute. The tank itself is easy to clean and maintain.

Airflow

Being fitted with two cyclops airflow slots means that airflow is very smooth with the IJOY Captain Sub Ohm tank. The control ring means that you can adjust the airflow to suit your tastes; it has a serious amount of hit if you choose to open it up to its fullest.

Performance

You get both the CA2 and CA8 coil heads with the IJOY Captain Sub Ohm tank and these are currently the only compatible coil heads available. I have no doubt that we’ll see more become available in the near future.

The pre-installed 0.3 ohm coil head is one of the best pre-installed coil heads you could wish to come across; the flavour is good and the delivery is as smooth as silk. You get a density to the vape as well and it performs at either 50W all the way up to 90W too.

The CA8 0.15 ohm coil head is the less effective of the two; you won’t get much bang for your buck below 80W and it may feel like there’s plenty of vapour but not much flavour. This coil head needs to be up above 90W to get anything worthwhile out of it in our opinion.

So if you want to produce an awe-inspiring, epic amount of vapour the CA8 is the coil head for you, just be aware that the vapour will be far hotter than average and you will likely not get the same level of flavour as a result.

Both the CA2 and CA8 coil heads have great lifespans, easily making it through two weeks of heavy vaping and they easily wick even the highest of liquids. The effect of this is that they do guzzle liquid at a fairly decent rate of knots.
