Microsoft's Surface Pro Has Launched As A Proof To In-Forward, Two-In-One Devices
Posted: Dec 06, 2017
Recently, the news strike back on various tech & media blogs as headlines that the colossal tech-tyrant, Microsoft has officially launched its most latest version of 2-in-1 laptop & tab ;much cuter than that in fact & named is as "the 2017 Surface Pro."
We welcome you on board..
- 'Surface Pro’ in Highlights:
Before we move on, let’s see what the new device has bought for us. Anything new or different, can we say??
Interestingly tagged as a "great, little, lightweight, touch screen Windows 10 laptop" with minimal trade-offs & tweaks to amuse the users by Business Insider's Matt Weinberger, the Surface pro features following specs & not-so ambiguous features:
- Jumped in as the ever-first latest entry in Microsoft's listings of two-in-one detachable devices.
- Built-in with a tablet-like hardware sytemology & peripherals much similar to like a mouse alongside keyboard to anytime switch it into a relaxing laptop- like computer mode.
- Features the most advanced Windows 10, Microsoft's copyright OS.
- With some more innovative thoughts, it could truly transform into a winning category defining laptop replacement.
Surface has come a long way: It’s far better than the first ‘Surface':
When Microsoft first released the market-novel Surface products that were truly original, it lobbed an idea that seemed either odd as unimpressive or just too ahead of times & thereafter, originated as the device’s marketing tagline-"The tablet that can replace your laptop."
The firm opined that its exterior was an evocative of a tablet: polished black slate with all the electronic buttons beneath the display — but the intriguing idea was to function it like a traditional laptop!
The Redmond Company created a kickstand for the device to better make it a replica of a typical clamshell handy computer piece along with a keyboard cover containing a track pad that critically turned the concept into an evolution "standard" Windows P.C.
The ‘Surface Pro’ is like your traditional laptop at desk:
If the Surface Pro is claiming itself as an up-coming replacement for a MacBook or a typical laptop then; it must definitely prove itself alike.i.e., equally good enough to begin with.
One of the most commonly observed hardest task to do when it comes to swapping over to some new personal technology gadget is probably to overcome that habit with a new cigar that might not be so –cool.
But, Surface -Pro indeed deserves to be labeled as a ‘champ ‘ with some of the most easygoing & superior features like : a full-blown Windows 10 O.S version, the ultra-perfect mouse & peripherals & the legacy of some beautiful Windows apps that many people are habitual of.
The Surface Pro is undoubtedly capable enough ‘home computer-alternative’ to keep with a maxed out i7 processor ; coupled with 16GB of RAM, to make it as top- of -the -line Windows machines out there.
The ‘Surface Pro’ also has fantastic effortless tablet hardware:
The Surface Pro won’t ever let you miss your ex-tablets or Mac notebooks with the much advanced & full-fledged OS that supports it.
But, still you would find a considerable difference with the device that would keep on reminding you that it’s still actually a new-gen tablet, fundamentally.
Case- away the magnetic keyboard, fold –off the kickstand and what you have in your hands is a bizarre 12.3-inch blackish slate, sporting an elegant touch screen display.
The Big Question: Why Did Microsoft Build the Surface Laptop?
The decision might have to do less with selling hardware and more with showing OEMs how to build a quality Windows machine.
Though continually calling it as a MacBook and MacBook Air competitor, what forced Microsoft to build this unusual tech-piece when people were happy, already?
Was that just to cut off that Apple-Apple influential move or some other guerilla tactic?
Microsoft executives have repeatedly reported to various news channels about the fact that the firm isn’t in the trade of sole hardware selling simply for its own sake.
This is something wise to be expected from the genius guru after last quarter's year-over-year revenue declines of ex-Surface Pro (or Surface Pro-I, you can say).
As a substitute, Microsoft is now capitalizing more in making its personal hardware under the so-called ‘Windows expansion ecosystem schema’, through developing the new device ‘categories’, which the 'Softy-birds are encouraging its OEM’s to imitate.
Cut it short, the official "reason" behind the development of this ‘Surface –Jr ‘ boils down to recent post from Microsoft's corporate VP of Devices, Mr. Panos Panay:
"We built [the] Surface Laptop to do two things: refresh the classic laptop form factor that our customers, especially college students, have been asking for; and make a Surface that works seamlessly to showcase the best of Windows 10 S."
Microsoft is still honest towards its effort to make Windows more protected and easier to update and maintain for its users regardless of the reasons & off- course, inviting more inflow of money not-to-deny, with the premium 10 S devices.
One of the Surface Pro fans says likewise:
"As a dedicated clamshell laptop user, I'm looking forward to spending time with the Surface Laptop. As someone whose daily workflow is currently very Google Chrome-centric, I'm curious if Windows 10 S could work for me. My 13-inch HP Spectre Ultrabook is my current ideal laptop. Getting me to switch will be a tall order, but not as potentially daunting as winning over the MacBook faithful. Let's see how this goes."
