SRM University Got an Award From QS World Rankings

SRM University is one of the leading private universities in India which offers various courses to the students. SRM University is not just an indigenous university; it also has a standing in the world rankings. SRM University also takes admission of the international students from various countries. The University has also been awarded a maximum of 5-star rating on Employability, Inclusiveness, and Teaching.

QS which is a popular world agency which defines the world university rankings also defines the QS star ratings based on some particular assessments. The star rating assessment involves 50 indicators and over 8 wide fields by which the universities have been rated from star 1 to 5. The parameters that are used by the QS for the judgment are-

The assessment process is very daunting and cumbersome. The QS takes around 8 to 9 months to complete the whole audit process.

What the SRM has to offer:

SRM University has three campuses in Chennai. The main campus is at Kattankulathur. The university is famous for providing the best technical education. The engineering courses that are offered by the SRM University are Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Genetic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nanotechnology and Aerospace Engineering. The other campuses have limited branches to offer. The annual fee for each course at the SRM University is around INR 2,15,000. The B.Tech course offered by the University is about 4 years of duration.

Admission to SRM University:

To take the admission in SRM University, the candidate has to clear the SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam). The exam is held once every year. The exam is conducted at various locations all around the country. The conduct of this examination usually happens in the month of May-June. After taking the admission in the SRM University, the students can avail the facility of Hostels for the accommodation. The students have to pay an additional fee for the Hostel accommodation in addition to the annual tuition fee. There are various other facilities are also available for the students at the campus.

SRM University has also been ranked at 34th position by the MHRD in its NIRF 2017 ranking. QS is soon going to publish the Asia rankings where the SRM is expecting a decent position.
