In the world of automation ranging from oil companies, companies selling beverages, automobile manufacturers to those working entirely on the software side like CSS, HTML technologies, WEB SCADA have revolutionized the way customers and designers used to model scenarios and tested environments for use. There are various versions of SCADA free to license depending on the proprietary tools added as a packaged version to the buyer. It also includes demos, tutorials, hands-on experience and long-term support; sometimes as much as 10 years for SCADA based products like IGX. Again, this helps make an informed choice with respect to the technical expertise offered with the package. Some packages are standalone and work right off the hard disk sitting inside the computer and some sit miles away in some data center managed by web servers like those of Google Cloud and Amazon that offer cloud-based solutions.

What actually matters?

A lot of companies work directly upon satellite transmissions. They store data directly on some work machine inside a data center. Thus, installing Web Scada rather than the versions of SCADA free and unlicensed is a crucial thing to do, if there are millions of dollars at stake. Thus, something that is light and works via a simple browser without needing to install anything on the remote client machine is the best solution today. This enables one to focus on the productivity and the results rather than the technical issues that can come up when making the installations. Once, installed and up and running, there are only several instances created that take care of the rest of the work. There are versions that support an unlimited number of users depending upon the available computing power and bandwidth. In this scenario, server-side applications that take all the load rather than the thin clients help make the job most efficiently. These are based on CSS and HTML and run on any modern browser without having to install and add-ons, flash, JavaScript or any other plug-ins that used to be the bottleneck some 10 years ago.

What about experiences?

The responsiveness is a major concern when running an installation of a server located thousands of miles away. The UI and HMI are also of concern when designing the whole application wrapped around SCADA and its basic functionality. These things need to be taken care when downloading and starting to use any flavor currently in the market. Since it is difficult to analyze one's functionality just by looking at their brochure, it is often desired to have demos and this is where the difference comes in. This is called user experience. Any intuitive platform that is easy to learn and grasp is obviously at an advantage than its peers. In fact, SCADA is the de facto Ethernet driver designer today.

Archer Finch takes note of the subtle technical changes that have been rendered through these years in the SCADA free versions, kernels and repositories. There comes up WEB SCADA packages meantime taking control of the same free versions and offering support, control, and peace of mind, from the customer's perspective.
