If everything goes according to the plan, then it is certain that the look and change of villages in Delhi will change. It will be from the New Delhi Land Pooling Policy. This policy was ready for the last one-and-a-half years, now with 89 villages being granted the status of urban areas, the dream of bringing it into reality will come true.

In the coming time from the notification issued, the development will accelerate in the outskirts of Delhi. With the implementation of this, there will be 24 lakh houses in Delhi. This will provide the rooftops of people who wandering for housing in Delhi. DDA claims that it will be beneficial for small land owners too. 50 villages of northern Delhi and 39 villages of south Delhi have now been given status of urbanized villages under Mpd 2021.

After getting this status of urbanized rural area, the farmers here will be able to complete the project related to different schemes on land after directing them from the farmers under the land pooling scheme.

The plan has already been stamped by the Union Urban Development Ministry in the month of May 2015. It has plans to forgive about stamp duty duty of about 12 percent of the land provided to the Delhi government for community work. However, the map submitted by the farmer or promoter or developer for this will be done through local authorities (Patwari, Accountant), in which the benefit will be available only if the map is found correct.

Small farmers will also be given relief in the scheme. In which the case related to expenditure etc. can be compensated by the developer or the promoter. This decision will prove to be very helpful in getting the government's ambitious plan of providing housing to all by 2022.

Last year, the Union Urban Development Ministry had also held a meeting with various bodies and the Delhi Government on this issue. In which there was talk of further progress in relation to granting urban status to these villages. The Union Urban Development Ministry had approved DDA's new land pooling policy on May 26 last year with five modifications. Since then, the villages are being awaiting the development and declaring urban villages.

In October last year, a circular was also issued to transfer the ownership of the villages from the Revenue Department to the Delhi Government, but this decision has now been done. For more info one can read Delhi Land Pooling Policy latest News
