This year, about 1,89,662 undergraduates have connected for the Jipmer exam for 200 openings; 150 on the Puducherry grounds and 50 on the Karaikal grounds. Dr. Swaminathan said that the entrance examination would be held in 339 examination centers in 75 urban areas spread crosswise over India.
