The monumental relevant district Loni Ghaziabad came into existence on 31st March 1971 with the formation of Ghaziabad Development Authority and the arrival of Loni Nagar Nigam Pallika. The district had one of the famous Loni Fort which witnessed the assassination of Demon Lavanasura by the youngest brother of Lord Rama, Shatrughna. The fort also saw one of the most brutal attacks in history by Timur in 1398.
