Professional Photography Training in London, Private One-To-One Classes and Small Group Courses

Simulacra Studio and The Photo Academy have joined forces to offer courses that will give industry newcomers the skills they need to be employable by studios and photographers but also to start up as self employed photographers and videographers able to compete and get work.

Our general workshops are all suitable for hobbyist photographers as well but we offer tailor made courses and studio assistant days in our fully equipped, professional photo studio in Brixton, London SW9 for those specifically seeking professional training.

We can also teach you Photoshop, Lightroom, studio lighting, as well as more general courses such as portraiture, low light photography, black and white photography etc.We also have masterclasses and portfolio builder classes such as shooting with water and high speed photography capturing explosions of paint and other interesting and challenging options.

Feel free to get in touch to discuss a private course 121 with a tutor also, these can be shaped to your exact requirement for example if you wanted a 30 hour private class this could be as follows

10 hours a week for 3 weeks (30 hours in total).

This would be scheduled over 2 days a week, 5 hours a day.

Structure would be as follows:

Days 1-3

Workshops 1-8Camera settings, aperture and depth of field, light and focus, shutter speed and movement, the portrait, composing and analysing images, black and white photography and low level light photography.

Day 4

Equipment tutorial, all the kit you have and all kit you need for which jobs

Introduction to artificial and natural lighting

Photoshop & studio workflow

Day 5

Image editing

Day 6

Introduction to video editing

This would be a starter package to cover all the basics, we can always add on to this and offer extra packages if you wish.

For something like this we would also offer a consultation over Skype in advance of the dates to ensure we are meeting all of your needs and questions.
