These days, Newborn Baby Photography is gaining popularity in every part of the world. Devoted parents make sure that they do not miss to capture even a single moment in their little one’s life, therefore they start shooting their baby’s arrival even before it puts its first step into the world and is still in the mother’s womb. In which case, the shoot is called Maternity Photography.

The trend has recently started gaining popularity in Southeast Asia and people are going gaga over professionals offering Kid Photography in Singapore. If you and your significant other are also going to welcome a little bundle of joy in your lives soon, then read the following tips and tricks employed by professionals to get your baby’s perfect captures and make a special album for him/her that will be cherished over the years.

1. KEEP THE CAMERA ROLLING!

Do not wait for the perfect pose. Your baby might not strike a pose ever and will not be too keen on taking the instructions as well. Therefore, steal the moment and capture your baby’s each and every reaction and expression as it will be easier to zero down upon your favorite shots later.

2. USE NATURAL LIGHT, SHOOT OUTDOORS

Using natural light for your baby’s shoot is an ideal way to click pictures as it will give your baby’s skin a soft focused look and make it look like its glowing from within. While shooting outdoors in natural sunlight, it is recommended that you use a 50mm lens for superior results.

3. MAKE IT A FUN ACTIVITY AND DON’T BUG YOUR CHILD

Do not bug your child to smile for the camera. Instead, play peek-a-boo with him/her or strike funny faces to make them roll on the floor with laughter.

4. DON’T CHOOSE VERY ELABORATE CONCEPTS/SETTINGS

Instead of choosing clutter-y settings where your child feels conscious and gets uncomfortable, it’s better to choose simpler settings with a few toys of your baby’s choice. For background, you can use brilliant white curtains as it makes the shot look professional and polished and does not steal your child’s thunder.

5. MAKE SURE YOUR BABY IS COMFORTABLE

Do not dress up your baby too much or use elaborate costumes which may irritate your baby’s soft skin and give your precious one rash. Instead, choose soft and cute costumes like that of a fruit or a princess, and add little colorful props which can engage your child and make the picture more interesting and playful.

6. GET IN THE FRAME!

Get in there with your baby and show your pearly whites, the more the merrier and moreover you can never go wrong with cute family pictures. However, remember to make your child the center of attraction as it is his/her album.

7. USE MACRO MODE

Babies smile the brightest and have the eyes that can melt the heart of even the most stubborn adults. To capture their innocence at its best, it is recommended that you use professional photographers who use the macro mode on their camera which lets them focus on your baby’s features beautifully and gets you the best shots to preserve and show-off for the years to come.

That’s all for today gentlemen and dainty ladies, hope this made for an informative and inspiring read!
