Punjab to have CBSE re-examination for class XII and X on 27th April
Posted: Apr 11, 2018
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it will conduct the class X and XII re-examination, for the papers earlier scheduled for 2nd April 2018, on 27th April 2018. The papers were not conducted earlier in the month due to a call for Bharat Bandh.
The exams to be conducted for class X are French, Sanskrit, and Urdu-Course B, and the exams to be conducted for class XII are Hindi Elective, Gujarati, Nepali, Kashmiri, and Hindi Core. The roll number and examination centres allotted to the students are to remain the same.
The board took the decision to reschedule the exams after receiving a letter from the Director General School Education of Punjab Government asking the board to postpone the exams due to apprehension of law and order problems and other disturbances, because of the call for Bharat Bandh.
CBSE is all set to also conduct a re-examination of the economics paper for Class XII students after a case of paper leak came to the fore. This exam is to be conducted on April 25.
While the results for CBSE classes X and XII are expected to be released in the month of May and June, there is still no official statement on whether the re-examinations could impact the release dates.
