A BRIEF HISTORY

Established in the early 2000’s. Kia kaha was formed by a group of likeminded and dedicated fighters who wanted to achieve their life goals in mixed martial arts. Ever since, the team has worked hard to make their mark in the field.

Nischal Kellemane brought Kia Kaha to Bengaluru in February, 2015. Thereafter we have been training individuals at the beginner to advance levels to get the best out of them.

OUR PASSIONATE TEAM

The team at Kia Kaha give their best, push each other and train with unity. We believe in true sportsmanship and pure dedication which helps us strive harder and reach our true potentials. The fighters here learn patiently, produce perfectly and execute effectively.

FORGING AHEAD

Ever since its establishment, Kia Kaha has trained over 1000 fighters in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. Currently, there are three branches in Sarjapur, Indiranagar and Koramangala respectively. We hope to expand in to other areas soon in the near future.

We aim at giving more recognition to the MMA and promoting the sport form. Our focus lies on providing incomparable and valuable training for our athletes. We hope to push them harder and help them break their own previously set records.

One of the most popular combat sports in the world, Boxing is the art of attack and defense using your fists. It’s a contest of speed, reflexes, strength, and endurance between two fighters.

Kick Boxing is a hybrid combat sport form based on punching and kicking. It originated from Karate, Muay Thai, and Western Boxing.

Originated in Thailand, Muay Thai uses the techniques of clinching and striking. Punches, elbow strikes, kicks, and knee strikes form the basis of Muay Thai. It’s one of the deadliest martial arts.

Wrestling involves grappling techniques, joint locks, clinches, grappling pins and holds, and take-downs. One of the oldest combat sports in India, Wrestling is a contest between two individuals trying to gain a superior position over the other, mostly by pinning the other down.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art based on grappling. The central theme of BJJ is the efficient use of skill to control a resisting opponent and compel him to submit. Since it’s easier to gain control on the ground rather than in a standing position, BJJ involves the skill to take the opponent on the ground and wrestle for a dominant control position.

One of the fastest growing combat sports in the world, MMA is the amalgamation of various combat sports and martial arts – Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and the like. In other words, it’s a full-contact sport, which allows both grappling and striking – both standing and on the ground.
