A large number of people all over the world dream of becoming a pilot, however only a few are able to do so. The reasons for it are many and vary from person to person. Irrespective of what your reason is to take enrolment to an aviation academy, there are a few important things you should know before starting this journey.`Here we bring to you criteria in selecting a pilot training academy.

When it comes to choosing a flight training school, there are a few important factors that you should pay attention to avoid pits and fraud in the aviation. Pay per hour or package course.

Most of the flight training academies offer a range of package of courses including all expenses except accidental and personal expenses. Such packages usually come at bargain and affordable price if you pay the entire amount in advance. However, many people lost their money as well as time by paying full money in advance. What make them popular, however, are the lowest prices.

When it comes to pay per hour system, a student has to pay money on pay per hour basis. For instance, in case flying cost in Cessna is 10,000 INR, a student has to shell out 40,000 INR for four hours of flying. In this particular system, chances of cheating and fraud are minimal.

Multiengine aircrafts and their fee

Multiengine aircrafts are the ones having two or more than two engines just as is the case in most of the passenger aircrafts. Having flying experience in multiengine aircrafts is an added advantage when it comes to joining airlines. However, flying costs would be somewhere nearly 25000 and 40,000 per hour. Hence, it is suggested that you should do five to ten hours in multi engine aircrafts, in the total 200 hours required, so that you will not end up paying another three to four lakhs for multi engine flying.

Type as well as quality of aircrafts and flying fee

This is of the paramount importance as it would matter when you apply for the job interview. In these days of tough competition, companies and airlines prefer hiring candidates who have practiced flying better aircrafts. In other words, most airlines and companies prefer candidates who have flown analogue and glass cockpit planes. Glass cockpits are the ones that are fitted with digital screens instead of analog instruments. You can get CPL issues irrespective of the fact you have flown Cessna 172, glass cockpit or Cessna 152. However for jobs, companies prefer having candidates who have flown Cessna 172 glass cockpit. Charges of flying both planes are same in flying clubs. Thus, look for a flying club that offers less price per hour for a glass cockpit plane.

These are some of the most important factors that you should pay attention to in case you are keen to get a job as a pilot. Keep these points while choosing the best pilot training school in India.
