Courses after 12th Science are:

• MBBS- It means Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or in Latin: Medicinae Baccalaureus, Baccalaureus Chirurgiae (abbreviated in many ways, e.g. MBBS, MB ChB, MB BCh etc.)

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.

2. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of :

• P. B. B. Sc. Nursing- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a two-year program offered by Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing. The minimum educational requirement shall be the passing of GNM & the candidate shall be medically fit.

Course Description:

The aim of the undergraduate nursing programme at the post-basic level is to upgrade the diploma (GNM) nurses to:

• Assume responsibilities as professional.

• Competent nurses and midwives at the basic level in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services. make independent decisions in nursing situations.

• The minimum educational requirement shall be the passing of General Nursing & Midwifery

• The candidate shall be medically fit.

• Bachelor of Physiotherapy- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a 4 Years (8 Semesters) + 6 Months Internship with choice-based credit system of assessment. BPT is bachelor degree course.

Entry Qualification:

Candidate should have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English individually and must have obtained minimum 50% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 examination.

• B.Optom. (Clinical Optometry) - This is a 4 years degree course in Bachelor of Science in Clinical Optometry including 3 years of Theory and 1 year of Internship.

Entry Qualification:

A candidate must have passed Std. XII or equivalent examination with 50% marks for General Category (45% marks for reserved category) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English subjects or a candidate who have passed Minimum Competency Vocational Course(MCVC) from recognized Board with overall 50% marks.

• B. Tech. (Biotechnology) - B. Tech Biotechnology is a four-year undergraduate degree course in Biotechnology.

Entry Qualification:

The candidate must have either appeared at Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC / Std. XII) examination OR equivalent qualification of any board in India or abroad, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Life Sciences (and desirably with Mathematics) or, if the result of the exam has been declared, he/she must have passed the same examination with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40% for the Reserve Category candidates).

• B. Tech. (Medical Biotechnology) - B. Tech. (Medical Biotechnology) is 4-years undergraduate course in Biotechnology.

Entry Qualification:

The candidate must have either appeared at Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC / Std.
