Whole house systems where flow rates will not regularly exceed 30 litres per minute

Scale Klenze Salt Free Scale Prevention System

Scale Klenze salt free water conditioner System uses a scale control technology called FILTERSORB® SP3 designed to protect complete plumbing systems or individual components from the negative effects of hard limescale. and requires virtually no maintenance, no backwashing, no salt and no electricity.

"Hard" Scale vs. "Soft" Scale

Scale Klenze Anti Scale System prevents what is called "hard" scale, the destructive scale that sticks to pipes, valves and other system components. It does this by transforming dissolved hardness minerals into harmless, inactive microscopic "soft" scale crystal particles. "Soft" scale particles stay suspended in the water and flow freely through a system, unable to stick to plumbing imperfections. Most importantly, unlike "hard" scale, "soft" scale particles can easily be washed and wiped away without the use of caustic chemicals.

Nucleation Assisted Crystallization (NAC.)

Scale Klenze Anti Scale Filtration System uses Nucleation Assisted Crystallization (N.A.C.) or sometimes referred to as (template assisted crystallization T.A.C) to attract hardness minerals and convert them into harmless "soft" scale particles that do not stick to pipes and components. Each bead is covered with imperfections that attract these minerals and combine them to form micro-crystals that then break off and float freely through the system.

Why Scale Klenze Salt Free Scale Prevention System?

Scale Klenze Anti Scale water conditioning system is not a water softener. It does not add chemical salts or remove any minerals or has that slimy feel to the water. It is a scale prevention device with proven third-party laboratory test data and successful use in real world commercial applications.

Features

Approvals

FILTERSORB® SP3 media used in this system is WRAS approved and meets Nation Science Foundation (NSF) 61approval. This is the American standard for drinking water products which is world renowned and internationally recognized.

Salt Free Scale Prevention System Limitations

The presence of elevated levels of chlorine, iron, manganese, hydrogen sulphide, copper, and certain other contaminants can damage NAC media, reducing its effectiveness and shortening its life. While the media can handle the typical chlorine, levels found in mains water sources, to maximize media life, it is generally recommended that chlorinated water be pre-filtered through activated carbon to remove free chlorine before the NAC system.

Please also note: New copper pipes should be passivized for a min of 4 weeks before using NAC FILTERSORB® SP3 media

Limitations of use

Hardness Max 1300 ppm

pH level of between 6.5 and8.5

Temperature range 5°C - 43°C

Water pressure 15 to 100 psi Max
