The spacious cabin features a 442 litre boot and plenty of room for comfort on the long road. The entry level Active model features Mazda’s colour screen infotainment screen which comes standard with Bluetooth connection, USB connectivity in the front and rear as well as and a 6 speaker audio system.

Available in four variations, the Mazda CX-5 offers a great variety of specs through its Active, Dynamic, Individual and Akera variants. Standard features on the Active include dual-zone climate control, cruise control, LED headlights and push-button keyless start. Alloy wheel size ranges between 17-inch on the Active and 19 inch on the Dynamic and above. The Individual boasts features like Smart City Brake, Driver Attention Alert, Lane Assist and Lane Departure Warning. Akera has the whole host of features in addition to a 2.2 turbodiesel engine and all-wheel drive.

Focusing on the mechanics, Mazda offers naturally aspirated petrol options in a 2.0 litre and a 2.5 litre model. The 2.0 litre is capable of 121 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque while the 2.5 litre provides 143 kW and 257 Nm of torque. Engine options are available for select variants, with the 2.0 litre petrol offered in the Active and Dynamic trim levels whilst the 2.5 litre petrol is only available in the Individual variant. There are two diesel models available and push out 420 Nm of toque with 129 kW of power.

The Mazda CX-5 offers a 3-year/unlimited km warranty and service plan which, coupled with Mazda’s great after-sales care is an attractive offering for an attractive car at an attractive price.X-5.
