Candidates who have applied or wish to apply for the available openings in the Indian Railways are informed that the rules regarding the fees, amount and refund have been changed for all categories. According to the new criteria, released by the Ministry, the fees for the RRB Recruitment 2018 for ALP, Technician, and Group D for nearly 90,000 jobs have certain modifications. The Ministry stated that it has decided to refund part of the fee paid by all candidates. These changes are applicable to general and reserved category candidates alike and have been implemented in the online applications CEN 01/2018 and CEN 02/2018 from February 28, 2018. Please note, in the new rule, RRB has confirmed to refund general category Rs 400 out of the Rs 500 exam fee.

Moreover, the reserved category candidates are eligible for a full refund of Rs 250 examination fee. The refund for both the categories is applicable only after the candidates have appeared for the First Stage CBT examination. RRB has confirmed that all the candidates will get the fee refund provided they appear for the First stage CBT examination.

RRB would only deduct additional bank charges as applicable. Also, in case a candidate chooses not to appear for the examination, the fee would not be refunded at all.

This amount would be refunded using the same medium used while making the fee payment while filling the online application form. Along with these changes,

RRB has also changed the age limit and language options for examination. RRB is as of now in the process of accepting applications for around 90,000 posts.

As per the CEN 01/2018, as many as 26,502 posts for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technicians are available. Also, apart from these, 62, 907 Group D vacancies are also available with Indian Railways. Consequent to the changes made, the Railway Recruitment Board has decided to extend the last date for online application until March 31, 2018.
