Mitsuba's dedicated Powder coating equipment with Tribo charging system specially designed for the situation in which only tribo can work.

A new positive powder charging technique without high tension generators:

It is a self exciting ion generator that charges individual powder particles without generating field lines or ionizing air. Faraday cage is eliminated, resulting in perfect finishes even on the most complex shapes.

Uncompromisingly high quality along with an easily handled multifunction nozzle system that always provides the right spray cloud – no matter what the contours of the workspace being coated.

Tribo Control Unit:

Allows individual control of powder flowrate and powder diffusion. Charge Display Module monitors Tribo charge current. Can operate only Tribo Gun on this panel.

Manual Gun:

Light weight and easy to manouevre. Can be easily disassembled for colour change. High speed performance compared to Corona Charging systems. Tribo charging Guns charge the powder by friction. Powder moving through the gun rubs against the media in the gun and gets charged. Which is the better option Corona or Tribo Gun? Corona guns are most versatile guns as they can charge any powder.

Tribo guns can only charge powder specifically manufactured for tribo guns only. Besides that tribo guns are very sensitive and charging also depends on other factors like atmospheric moisture, powder particle size.

As the quantity of powder that can be charged from tribo guns is less, more tribo guns are Trendsetting Features for Brilliant Finish:

  • A Rotary and Guided Powder Path always ensures high friction charging.
  • Faradays Cage Area is eliminated. Even complex shapes are perfectly coated.

Faraday Cage Effect:

  1. On a flat piece the field lines end evenly and concentrate more to the centre than the exterior.
  2. On a shaped surfaced the field lines will concentrate at the nearest point as explained earlier. The further away the deepending the fewer field lines
  3. If there are field lines most powder particles will follow these lines (like cars on a road) and become deposited on the piece where the field lines end. This can be seen here. Whoever painted the piece like this has got an extremely
  4. Any type of cavity, hole, corner is therefore a faraday cage.
  5. the gun will always be further away from the corner than the sides. Hence, the inside corners will always be difficult to coat evenly. If one keeps spraying powder the inside corners will eventually get coated. In such a case however the sides will be coated with a very thick coating.
  • Suitable for a wide range of powders including epoxy, Acrylic, Nylon, Teflon &
  • Smooth powder lay down without orange peel.
  • Charges only individual powder particles without charging dust.
  • Ideal for recoating defective parts. Automatic Gun Can be mounted onto a reciprocator or can be fixed in one position. The Tribo sprayheads provide optimum coating coverage for a wide range of tasks.

Which powders are suitable for tribo charging?

The Tribo Powders are Epoxy, Polyester (When made as per Tribo Formulation), Hybrid Epoxy Polyester (When made as per Tribo Formulation), Nylon, Polyurethane, PVC and Pure Polyester.

PORTABLE TRIBO CUP GUN:

The Tribo cup gun system is a complete unit by itself. This economically priced system is designed to satisfy both the beginner and the industrial large volume coater.

Ideal for sampling, short colour runs, as a standby system or even at the house or garage for small personal jobs.
