STR 550 is innovative and leading edge panel mounted process indicator in so may ways. The display is a high resolution 128x64 pixels LCD which has up to seven backlight display colours which can change upon alarm thresholds being reached. This provides unrivalled display features with provide real benefits to both design engineers and machine operators. Selection of bargraph, trend or large numeric display of process is variable. On a detailed technical level the STR 550 digital panel meter has universal programmable input for up to 20 different sensor types including thermocouples, type K, R, S, T, N, J, RTD sensors type PT100, PT1000, NI 100, current 4-20 mA, voltage 0-10V, resistance, NTC, PTC thermistors, potentiometers & linear mV range. There is tank linearization and square root extraction for related process applications such as flow measurement using a differential transmitter and orifice plate or irregular shaped vessels for contents measuring. There are 4-20 mA or 0-10 V analogue outputs for retransmission of process / setpoints, programmable digital inputs and finally Modbus RTU RS485 slave port all as standard.

The power supply is a wide ranging 24-230VAC/DC and there is a DC transmitter power supply available for 2 wire sensors.

The STR 550 digital panel meter is designed in industry standard format 96 x 48 mm 1/8 DIN, the panel meter can be configured both for horizontal and vertical panel mounting. A further distinctive feature is the 4000 point data logger, Labsoftview programme and interface software for data extraction and analysis.
