Each and every year, all over the world, waste is disposed of in highly unsatisfactory ways. Millions of things are thrown away and eventually end up in a landfill when in reality the majority of those things could have been recycled into something either useful or beneficial. As the common saying goes, one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. 1. Plastic Bottle Cups

Some may try and refill those bottles, however, in the end the average London resident just throws it away. This is wrong and is actually very harmful towards the environment. Instead of adding all of these plastic bottles to the waste collection pile, you could be reusing them as something as simple as cups. All you have to do is rinse them out, and cut off the top. That way, you can use this new cup for whatever you want. Whether it be to hold drinks, pencils, supplies, candy, food and even screws in your garage, the possibilities are virtually endless. 2. Toothbrushes

It’s recommended that you replace your toothbrush every 2-3 months, meaning over the course of a few years you may end up throwing most into the rubbish disposal, especially if you have a large family. The bristles are perfect to get crud out of places that other cleaners just can’t reach.

3. New Furniture

Whether it be an old canoe or something like an old suitcase, you can make a large variety of interesting furniture. If you have an old canoe that you don’t know what to do with, you could consider turning it into furniture for a patio or a deck in your London property. You could cut it in half and throw down some pillows. Maybe even add cup holders! If you have a suitcase, you can turn it into something like a medicine cabinet! Nail it to a wall and put some shelves in there! As long as you’re creative, you can make everything out of anything.

4. Toilet Paper Rolls

Toilet paper rolls are perhaps one of the most used things within a London household as toilet paper is just used so often. You could use them for organization. Of course, this idea isn’t limited to just toilet paper, paper towel rolls work even better. As an interesting side note, dogs love to chew on cardboard rolls. 5. Stale Bread

The amount of stale bread thrown into a waste disposal is just ridiculous. As long as the bread isn’t mouldy, you can use it for a virtually endless amount of things. The first example being bread crumbs. The second being cereal. In reality, the amount of baking possibilities is insane! You could even feed it to animals. Beware though, if you attempt to feed ducks, don’t throw the bread in the water. It’ll inflate and mess with the animal’s regular feeding habits. Instead of adding to the rubbish clearance pile you can use bread in your garden to nourish your plants.

In order to reduce the massive amount of junk all over the world, we as a people need to become a lot more creative.
