It is important to choose the right kind of bike and minimize your risks of getting injuries in sports that require travelling over long distances, such as triathlons. There are many reasons why Giant Bikes are popular among cycling aficionados. The more important reasons include extreme durability, stability at high speeds and comfort when traversing ridges and grooves over long distances.

Giant bikes are designed for almost every type of surface, including those with less than an ideal coefficient of friction to keep the bike upright. The bikes are designed to be fun, intuitive and attractive to the eye.

Giant Bicycles are a Taiwanese brand which was found in 1972 by business magnate King Lui. He had a penchant for traveling and decided to launch his own range of bikes. Overtime, clients realized how sturdy the build quality of the bikes were while still being relatively affordable. The popularity of the brand just took off and has now become a household name across the glove, including North America, Europe and Taiwan.

Giant then went on to create some of the most iconic bikes which every biking aficionado may have possessed at least once in their lifetimes, this includes the Cadex 980 road bike in 1987 which featured affordable carbon fiber and the AX One DH downhill bike which had a distinctive look and a simple design.

Some of their lesser popular, but important innovations, include the Compact Road design which attached a sloping top tube to a smaller rear triangle, this created lighter, sturdier and more responsive frame.

Over the years, Giant built a massive selection of road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids and e-bikes for enthusiasts to choose from. They also have a separate range for women which are sold under the Liv brand.

For road bikers, Giant offers aero race bikes such as their famed Propel, lightweight bikes for racing such as the TCS advanced and an entry level bike called the Content. For those looking to participate in a triathlon race, there are the TT models such as the Trinity Advanced.

Every variety of bike offers its own design features, taking into account the amount of time each person would be spending on the bike. For triathlon conditions, TT models have strategic geometric specifications to keep the rider’s position more aerodynamic, they have shorter top tubes to decrease your profile to maximize endurance levels over longer distances.

For rougher roads, Giant’s On-Road cycle collection offers more relaxed handlebar positions to make your triathlon more comfortable over long distances. Road bikes are equipped with drop bars which allow bikers to use multiple hand positions to afford them the ability to switch between sprinting and climbing.
