With spring weather finally upon us, there are few better places to sit and relax than the front porch. So it is really a fancy and wonderful idea to decorate the front porch in spring. Here are some great ideas maybe you can use to make your front porch attractive.

Add planters to create a container garden on your porch or front steps.

This is a great way to infuse your style from inside your home, to the outside. Opt for monochromatic, eclectic or vintage inspired. Mixed finishes and bright colors are great for an eclectic look. All white pieces in smooth finishes add to a mid-century look. Materials like concrete or charcoal colors are perfect for sleek, modern inspired looks. Various sized terra cotta planters with cacti and succulents add to a boho look.

Place a wicker table and a few chairs or a wicker bench on your front porch. This will provide you and your family (as well as your guests) a place to sit in the spring and summer months. Wicker furniture can easily be found at furniture stores.

Throw some colorful outdoor cushions in the porch furniture that you have on your porch. The pillows will add comfort and personality to your porch. Comfortable pillows are inviting to guests and make your porch feel like home. Adding a bottom cushion to a hard swing or chair will make it much more inviting to sit and relax.

Hang a metal planter on the front door and fill it with flowers. Metal planters are flat on the back so that they will lie against the door. They have a handle that will hang nicely on a wreath hook.

Add a wreath to your door. The wreath you hang should reflect your personality. You can change the wreath to match the season or to match holidays.

Do a little flea market shopping. Flea markets are great places to score a new decorative piece for your front porch. You’ll be surprised at the great bargains you’ll find. Flea markets are great for buying porch tables, hammocks, and curtains for your front porch at a very low price.
