Details of a Standard Cuplock System Scaffold

The need of system scaffolds in the construction industry for carrying out demolition, maintenance and repair work is obvious. It provides a fast, multifarious and streamlined system of commissioning projects related to this field of work. It offers a fast solution for securing up to four horizontals at a time through a reliable top cup that makes the joint firm and stiff.
This type of structure is easy to erect and dismantle, does not leave any loose ends, requires minimal maintenance and uses no components like nuts, bolts and wedges. It is best for access or formwork support and has high load bearing capacities despite being quite lightweight. The variegated components of Cuplock system scaffolding parts are listed below:
1. Standard / Vertical Cuplock
It has cup joints at regular distances; the captive mobile top cups are suitable for facing the adverse condition of site. Internal spigots link standards (placed on top) in vertical direction.
2. Ledger / Horizontal Cuplock
It has forged steel blade at the ends, which are able to find the bottom cups of the standard while being fastened by the associated top cups.
3. Cuplock Transom
Each piece is manufactured from twin structural angles that are linked to each other on the back, with drop forged blades being placed at the ends.
4. Cuplock Omega Transom
This product is fabricated from press bent sections with flange-type extensions on the sides and finds application in supporting the working platform in conjunction with steel battens.
5. Cuplock Intermediate Transom
It is used in instances when distance between the standards is more than the length of the boards.

- Cuplock Return Transom
It is used to eliminate gaps between two scaffolds.
8. Ladder Access Transom
Connected to the ledgers in the bay, this component is used to create the desired amount of space in the bay to place a ladder.

It is equipped with ledger blades that fasten with the cups of standards and acts as a supporting component for decking and formwork at the edges.
11. Beam Brackets
These are affixed to the primary vertical supporting beams, with the purpose of avoiding individual verticals to lend support to slab form work.
12. Hop-Up 1/2/3 Bracket
This type of bracket is created in the omega sections and tubes sections to place battens with facility for forged blades to be fitted with Cuplock standards through a cup joint.
13. Cuplock Bridging Horizontals
These components render the necessary guardrails on the working platform of the scaffold vehicle passage.
14. Universal Jacks
Used in combination with forkheads, socket base and drophead adaptors, these types of screwjacks offers a mode of jacking that can be implemented at the top as well as the bottom of a staging structure.
15. Socket Base
It is drilled in order to insert a securing bolt, if required, when it is used along with the universal jack.
