Posted: Apr 18, 2014
In another case investigated by the BIR – bureau of internal revenue, an Australian victim Shank Kaye was allegedly accused for not paying the due taxes. The investigating officers at the bureau said that they had sent a notice to the Shank in which they had mentioned him to pay his taxes. On the other hand Mr. Mark Aldave, the lawyer of the victim told the media about all the entire case. He assured all that they had received no such notice from the authorities and they came to know about all this through media sources only. It was really very surprising for them to know about such situation.
Moreover, the main issue was the documents of the Condomium which Shank had bought for P14 million. He was not aware of the act that all the documents associated with this property were illegal. This deal was finalized by his ex-lawyer who has misguided him for this case. The mistake of victim was to rely on his lawyers for this deal and he without any further investigation paid money to buy the title. Aldave confirmed that when the deal was made, the victim’s ex-lawyer was there to check all the credentials and it was just his fault due to which others are being forced into this fraud case.
Moreover, Shank Kaye works in Philippines and he has his own organization and he is a regular tax payer that was proved before the Court. Mark had all the evidence with him in the Court that helped the victim to prove his innocence. These evidences were testified by the Court and none of them was proven to be wrong or fake. Thus, finally Shank got the justice for the case which was clear by his side and due to some negligence; it was showcased as a tax evasion case.
Well, to the best, Shank Kaye Philippines and his lawyer assured that they will help the authorities in finding the actual miscreant in this case. They will provide full support for the investigation till the authorities get complete confirmation about the real accuse.
Now, they are still waiting for the Department Of Justice to clear this case with the final judgments. This incident shows how it gets too scary when you make a little mistake and things go out of your hand. At this moment, you cannot think of anything and wish if the things can get back to you so that you can set it all right. So, whenever you make such deal, be sure that you take care of all the credentials. This will help you make things clear at your end.
Shank Kaye Philippines who hails from Australia has been charged with tax evasion without any strong evidence. His good faith in law proved his innocence.
